Our Team
Pastor and Catalyst: Jason McGibbon
Jason has been living, working, and playing in Hamilton for 10 years and has loved every minute in the city. Jason, along with his wife and partner in crime Kimberley, have raised four kids in the city. All four children still call Hamilton home, two of them on their own. Jason has been involved in church planting for almost 20 years and continues to give leadership to the Hamilton Fellowships flagship church as well as continued development of our residency program. He most recently authored the study of The Five Marks Of A Disciple - Exploring Leadership through Jesus’ Words (available on Amazon). This study puts on paper his heart to make disciples who make disciples. Jason’s vision is to establish The Hamilton Fellowships as an incubator and training hub, seeing safe places to explore Jesus started across Hamilton and beyond.
Jason is also a painter, singer-songwriter, and guitarist and can be seen and heard playing around Hamilton and Toronto.
Apprentice: Shams Siddiqi
Shams discovered the Hamilton Fellowships shortly after moving to Hamilton to attend Redeemer University several years ago, and has been a part of our church ever since. He is currently attending McMaster Divinity College and is exploring church planting as a calling, so a lot of his position as an apprentice involves leadership development; he leads a Life Group, is involved in sermon series planning with our church leaders, and is passionate about missional living (intentionally reaching out to and investing in the people in his life who do not know Jesus). He pursues another one of his passions through his employment at Indwell, an organization committed to providing affordable housing within the Hamilton community. He is also an avid fan of Ultimate Frisbee and can be found playing on leagues in Hamilton and Burlington throughout the summer.
